Macabre Memory Lane Part 1

Halloween has come and gone yet again. I hope you are finding some good post-Halloween bargains (Targets are at 75% off now).
On the Monday before Halloween was the Treehouse of Horror marathon. I was the only person to survive all 20 episodes/7 hours of non-stop Simpsons Halloween goodness (Michael who was working was in the kitchen during some episodes). The first 10 specials are solid, then after that they get a bit questionable.

On the 30th there was a Halloween party at Natty's house (formerly the Showmageddon House). There were some good costumes including Shanna's Coraline, Kandy's Kate Gosselin, and this QuailMan costume:

And now let's take time to remember the Macabres of Halloween past. In 2004 I was living at The Rolland House. I had a HUGE room on the 2nd floor and could fit all kinds of people in it. This was the year of the 3rd annual Month of Macabre and it was the biggest yet. So big, in fact, that my roomates had to have a talk with me to tone it down because they were sick of coming home to strangers partying in their house! This was also the first year that I spent lots of time making the calendar. I think it turned out well. You can click on it for a giant version:

Ahh memories... I'll be posting more flyers from Macabre past in the future. I'm having trouble tracking down the ones from the first 2 years though.

Saturday, October 3rd is FRANKENSTEIN (1931).

Be sure to go out and support Spokane's finest local theater. They were awesome enough to host The Month of Macabre's TROLL 2 screening in 2007, before most people in Spokane had ever heard of Nilbog!

The Month of Macabre 8 (2009) Begins Tonight!

I can't believe it's already that time of year again! Tonight we'll be kicking it off old house party style with the traditional first showing of THE LOST BOYS. It's gonna be pretty low-key. I don't expect many people to come, so feel free to stop by.
Send me an email (Rob@Fetts.net) if you are interested in going but don't know where the "secret location" is!

The regular programming will resume every Monday and Wednesday of October at the BABY BAR / NEATO BURRITO. There may also be some Sunday screenings on the bar side, but it hasn't been finalized yet.
